Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is: AWM-Precision GmbH, Parkallee 5, 16727 Velten, Germany, represented by Managing Director Ilja Arnold. Phone: +49 179 79 066 76, Email: arnold@awm-precision.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as there is no legal obligation to do so (cf. § 38 BDSG; generally fewer than 20 persons permanently engaged in the automated processing of personal data). For data protection enquiries, please contact the address above directly.

2. Principles of data processing

As a rule, we process personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services, or where you have given your consent. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), (b) (contract or pre-contractual measures), (c) (legal obligation) and (f) (legitimate interest). Personal data is deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way. Automated decision-making, including profiling, pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.

3. Hosting and server log files

Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA (processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR). With each access, the server automatically records information transmitted by your browser and stores it temporarily in so-called server log files: IP address, date and time of access, name and URL of the file accessed, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system used, and the previously visited page (referrer). This processing serves to ensure a smooth connection, system security and stability, and evaluation in the event of errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As Vercel may also process data in the USA, please refer to section 11.

4. Contact form and machine enquiry

Our website offers a contact form and a form for machine enquiries. In doing so, we process the data you provide: name, email address and message, as well as — where provided — company, telephone number and the machine or matter your enquiry relates to. We use this data exclusively to process and respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry is aimed at concluding or performing a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A valid email address is required so that we can respond to your enquiry; further details are voluntary. No payment processing takes place via the website; payment or credit card data is therefore not collected. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose and no statutory retention periods apply.

5. Email delivery via Resend

The data submitted via the contact form is technically delivered to us using the Resend service (Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA). Resend processes the data solely on our behalf to deliver the form emails; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Resend. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. As processing may take place in the USA, please refer to section 11.

6. Cookies and local storage

This website uses no tracking or marketing cookies and integrates no analytics or advertising services. Only technically necessary mechanisms are used: via your browser's local storage (localStorage) we remember that you have acknowledged our cookie notice (key »awm-cookie-accepted«). A technically necessary cookie of the next-intl software may be set to store your language selection. This processing is necessary for the operation of the website; the legal basis is § 25 (2) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

7. Fonts

For a consistent appearance we use the fonts »Inter« and »JetBrains Mono«. These are hosted locally on our server and are loaded exclusively from there. No connection to third-party servers — in particular to Google Fonts — takes place; no personal data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.

8. YouTube videos

On individual sub-pages — in particular our partner pages — we embed videos from the YouTube platform (operator: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The videos are loaded when the respective page is opened. In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google and cookies or similar technologies may be set; if you are logged in to Google, Google can attribute the page visit to your account. To reduce data collection, we use the extended privacy mode (youtube-nocookie), in which — according to YouTube — no cookies for personalised advertising are set before you play a video. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an appealing presentation of our online offering pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can prevent the data transfer through appropriate browser settings (e.g. blocking third-party content). As Google may also process data in the USA, please refer to section 11. Further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

9. Google Maps

On our contact page we embed a map from the Google Maps service (operator: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is loaded when the page is opened. In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google and cookies may be set; if your browser is logged in to Google, Google can attribute the visit to your account. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in making our location easy to find and in an appealing presentation pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can prevent the data transfer through appropriate browser settings. As Google may also process data in the USA, please refer to section 11. Further information and objection options: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

10. Contact via WhatsApp

On our website you will find a button that allows you to contact us via WhatsApp (provider: WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland; parent company Meta Platforms, Inc., USA). Only when you actively click the button are you redirected to WhatsApp and data transmitted to WhatsApp/Meta; merely displaying the button transmits no data to WhatsApp. If you contact us via WhatsApp, we process your telephone number and your message to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR. Please note that Meta also processes data in the USA (see section 11). WhatsApp's privacy policy applies additionally: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea.

11. Data transfer to third countries (USA)

Some of the services we use — in particular Vercel, Resend and Meta/WhatsApp — may process personal data in the USA. Insofar as the providers are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, an adequacy decision of the European Commission pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR exists for the transfer to the USA. Otherwise, we base transfers to third countries on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR or on your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. We point out that transfers to the USA carry the risk that authorities there may, under certain circumstances, access the data without you having legal remedies comparable to those in the EU.

12. Recipients and disclosure of data

As a rule, your personal data is not transferred to third parties, unless this is necessary for the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), we are legally obliged to do so (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), disclosure is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or you have expressly consented (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Processors engaged by us — in particular our hosting provider Vercel and the email service Resend — process data exclusively on our instructions and on the basis of a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

13. Storage period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purposes. Enquiries via the contact form or by email are deleted as soon as they have been conclusively processed and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way. Where commercial and tax retention obligations exist, we retain certain data in accordance with statutory requirements — as a rule six or ten years (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO). Server log files are usually deleted automatically after no later than seven days, unless a security-relevant incident requires longer storage.

14. Your rights as a data subject

Within the statutory framework, you have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), as well as the right to withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR; the lawfulness of processing carried out until withdrawal remains unaffected. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR; see section 16). To exercise your rights, an informal message to arnold@awm-precision.com is sufficient.

15. Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

Insofar as we process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to such processing. If you object, we will no longer process the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims. An informal message to arnold@awm-precision.com is sufficient.

16. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

Without prejudice to any other legal remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR. The supervisory authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und für das Recht auf Akteneinsicht Brandenburg, Stahnsdorfer Damm 77, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany, Phone: +49 33203 356-0, Email: poststelle@lda.brandenburg.de.

17. Data security

During your visit to the website we use the widely established TLS/SSL encryption method in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the »https://« string in the address bar and the lock symbol in your browser. In addition, we take appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties.

18. Validity and amendment of this privacy policy

This privacy policy is currently valid. As our website develops further or due to changed legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend it. The version published on this page applies in each case. Status: June 2026.
