STUDER S30-1 (2005)

Universal cylindrical grinding machine by Fritz Studer AG (Thun, Switzerland), hydraulically controlled, for grinding between centres and live-spindle grinding. This machine comes with the complete original STUDER operating manual including the spare parts catalogue and the EC declaration of conformity, both issued for its machine number. According to that factory documentation it is the 1,000 mm centre distance version: in the geometry tables of the manual exactly the row 1000 (clamping length 1,030 mm, table travel 1,050 mm) is printed in bold. External grinding wheel on the left Ø 400 × 80 × Ø 127 mm, hydrodynamically bedded wheel spindle, Sony LD10 digital readout. Machine base in Granitan® S103 — the mineral casting STUDER has built its cylindrical grinders on for decades. The series is designed to take a hinged internal grinding attachment; whether this attachment is present on this machine is confirmed bindingly upon inspection.
